ZestMSP becomes meaningfully more powerful when it's wired into the rest of your stack — your RMM for device sync and alert routing, your accounting system for invoice sync, your calendar for appointment scheduling, your documentation tool for runbooks. This article walks through what each connector does and the order to set them up.
See all integrations in one place
Go to Integrations in the left nav. The page shows every available connector as a card, with Connect or Disconnect buttons depending on the current state. Cards also expose Settings or Credentials when relevant, and a Coming soon label for connectors in the pipeline.
The integrations available today:
| Integration | Category | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Level | RMM | Auto-syncs Devices, routes monitoring alerts to a Queue. |
| NinjaRMM | RMM | Same — auto-syncs Devices, routes alerts. |
| QuickBooks | Accounting | Exports invoices, traces payments back. |
| Xero | Accounting | Same — exports invoices, traces payments back. |
| Microsoft Outlook | Email & calendar | Email send/receive for tickets, calendar sync for Interactions and Schedule actions. |
| Google Calendar | Calendar | Syncs appointments and meetings to Google Calendar. |
| Hudu | Documentation | Documentation tool integration with Asset Layouts. |
Recommended setup order
If you're standing up a new ZestMSP account, do the integrations in this order — each one unlocks more of the others:
- RMM (Level or NinjaRMM) — populates Devices and the Monitoring Alerts queue. Without this, you'll be entering Devices by hand.
- Microsoft Outlook — turns email-based ticketing into a clean two-way conversation with customers from your branded domain.
- QuickBooks or Xero — closes the loop between work delivered and invoices paid.
- Hudu (or IT Glue when available) — gets your runbooks and customer documentation alongside the tickets that need them.
- Google Calendar — only if your team uses Google Workspace and doesn't already have Outlook syncing.
Connect your RMM (Level or NinjaRMM)
Both work the same way:
- Go to Integrations and find the Level or NinjaRMM card.
- Click Connect.
- Provide API credentials or sign in when prompted. (NinjaRMM exposes a Credentials link on its card; Level uses a connect flow.)
- Confirm Devices begin syncing into ZestMSP on a customer profile's Devices tab. You'll see Source: Level (or NinjaRMM) on each synced device.
- RMM alerts flow into the Monitoring Alerts queue (the RMM Default queue).
Tip: Map your RMM's customer/organization names to match your ZestMSP Customer Companies before connecting. Mismatches will create unassigned Devices that need cleanup.
Connect Microsoft Outlook
Outlook is two integrations in one: email and calendar.
- Go to Integrations → Microsoft Outlook → Connect.
- Authorize ZestMSP to read and send mail and to read/write calendar events.
- Configure ticket submission addresses on your Break/Fix Queue — see Capture tickets from email (Email Submission).
- Calendar appointments created from Tickets, Tasks, and Projects via the Schedule button will now sync to your Outlook calendar automatically.
Connect Google Calendar
For teams on Google Workspace:
- Go to Integrations → Google Calendar → Connect.
- Authorize ZestMSP to read and write calendar events.
- Schedule actions on Tickets, Tasks, and Projects will now sync to Google Calendar.
Note: Google Calendar covers calendar sync only — for email-based ticketing through Google Workspace, use email forwarding to your Break/Fix Queue's address.
Connect QuickBooks or Xero
Detailed walkthrough lives in Connect QuickBooks or Xero for accounting sync. Short version: connect from the Integrations card, then configure GL code mapping in Configurations → Category Settings.
Connect Hudu
Hudu is ZestMSP's current documentation integration:
- Go to Integrations → Hudu → Connect.
- Authorize ZestMSP to read and write to your Hudu account.
- Click Asset Layouts on the Hudu card to map Hudu's asset structures to ZestMSP's Device data.
Once connected, your Hudu documentation surfaces alongside the relevant ZestMSP records.
IT Glue is shown as Coming soon on the Integrations page. When it ships, expect a similar connect + map flow.
Disconnect a connector
For any integration:
- Go to Integrations.
- Find the connector's card.
- Click Disconnect.
Disconnecting affects only future sync — historical data stays. Reconnect any time by clicking Connect again.
Troubleshooting
- Devices stopped syncing. Check the RMM card on the Integrations page for a credentials warning. Re-authorize if needed.
- Calendar events aren't appearing. Confirm the right calendar account is connected (Outlook or Google), and that the Member scheduling the work has authorized that account.
- Invoice didn't post to QuickBooks/Xero. Confirm both the integration is still connected and that GL codes are mapped in Category Settings.
- Hudu asset layouts are blank. Re-open the Asset Layouts mapping on the Hudu card and confirm the mapping was saved.
